When we sing, draw, speak, play, we are not attacking the soul of someone else!
Culture has always had a kind of violence to it, but not FROM the THIEF: you HAVE to speak the language that was already made; you have to understand and participate in their song-structures, their plot devices, their ways of attesting.
i think the only solution to this is to force a company to rebrand when they purchase a brand.
otherwise we end up exactly where we are, private equity buying out a brand, obfuscating that it’s no longer the same company, slowly sucking the life out of the product and screwing the public over.
if we make them always rebrand, we would at least be more aware when purchasing.
it’s kind of funny how certain people will tell us to vote with our wallets on a product, but they intentionally obfuscate everything about the product so we can’t make informed purchases.
could you imagine if we had to “do your own research” on every single thing you purchase? just think of how many items you purchase from the grocery store alone every month. it’s unreal we allow them to get away with hiding what they’re doing.
a great example is the sibling poster who talked about the dogfood being changed and messing up their dogs stomach… just trash behavior by these companies.
Let's say I take it that whatever post you're referencing is slimy, built on disaster capitalism, and downright bad. And your being jaded is totally understandable.
To that I remind you: "All that is necessary for evil to succeed is for good people to do nothing"
What could you do to do drive the world in a different direction? (see my other posts for projects if you want help out with our El Niño Ready dashboard)
i hope blackmagic pays attention to what steam is doing with steamos.
steam has put so much into making gaming on linux so good, one of the last pieces remaining for a ton of people to make the switch is editing.
don’t get me wrong, i run davinci on my non-rocky linux desktop and it’s almost entirely painless, but, what steam is doing with their distro of linux is incredible.
if they were to consider migrating to steamos rather than rocky, between the masses switching to linux since gaming is good enough for so many, if davinci was mostly solid, i think blackmagic could pull millions away from the adobe hell they’re stuck in on windows.
particularly since davinci’s new photo tab is fucking incredible and will so soon be a perfect replacement for lightroom.
i honestly don’t believe i’m being jaded when i say this: there will be no consequences. in this current moment, companies can treat us however they like.
again, i don’t think that’s hyperbolic or jaded, i think it’s much more based in reality than the opposite.
Cars having 5G connectivity is something that consumers actually want, it’s well documented on the spec sheets and marketing material, and obviously in a car WiFi is not going to work in most places. None of those things apply to TVs.
The linked image shows a module meant for easy integration, but it could also simply be a part of the main board of the TV. They could "hide" the GSM antenna alongside the wifi antenna.
the choice was stolen as well.
the agency was stolen as well.
