Not liking the design. The flat design mocks that were made by random people on Dribbble are better. The gradient in the mail icon is too much. It's like someone's first design in Photoshop back in 2000.

SASS can also take a bunch of PNGs and auto generate a sprite map and it's CSS.

Sass can't do that, but the Compass framework (built on Sass) has sprite generation.

Already bought Little Inferno based on the rave reviews. It's so much fun playing with fire.

I think the animations (bounce effects) on this page are a little too much and it actually hurts the UX. It needs to be more subtle.

Agreed. It's like designers found out they can move things and are animating the crap out of everything.

They're forgetting what's important. The call to action button is the main focus and animating some random pictures get's the user distracted.

A lot of UI designers are doing this actually. They got the idea from using Facebook, Twitter logos with no labels. It doesn't work for icons that aren't commonly used.

agreed. I don't know why so many UI Designers do this. It's terrible UX to require a hover over to read a label.

It's best to do both, an Icon and a label. Street signs got it right 30+ years ago.

We made some subtle modifications to the theme (some button corners are less rounded, for example), but left a lot of the defaults in as (1) I actually like (most of) the defaults, and (2) we were more focused on making something functional (figured we can always refine the visual design later).

That may be what your intention is but to me it screams scam. If it weren't for HN comments and recognizing a few of your customers on your 'clients' logos, I'd be off that page so fast.

Default twitter boostrap instantly is a red flag to me that they haven't invested in creating a good image for themselves (read: trust), and that's really important if you hope to have customers, especially with something related to legal.

Screw that. There's a thing called balance. I would never trade my time going out/video gaming for more hours of programming. I balanced fun and work and I would consider my career successful. Youth is something you only have for so long. You still have 30+ years to program hardcore after your 30s.

Right. I didn't learn programming (or anything much of value), so I would have had more balance with less video games and more of some other thing.

That's not going to be true for everyone though.
