Some absolutely great work, but I don't know why you would come up with a new term for a server component (shard). Why not just use the obvious client/server annotations so you don't have to define a novel term for new users?
Just needed a different name for it. What should it have been called? `#[component]` is not reachable from the client. We went with `#[shard]` to make it clear that it is different (callable from the client).
China is not a democratic country. Words have meaning. The US has a checkered past and is quickly moving away from democracy, so we don't have much of a leg to stand on, but it's integral that we do not lose track of what that word means in the years ahead.
American presidents/power structures come from a small credentialed network of people. The congress is entirely bought and paid for since the early 70s, and the will of the people isn't represented in the policy. For sure the US (and China, and India) have a "checkered past", that's why I group them together and don't really differentiate the quality of their democracy. I'd argue India is probably the most democratic country with good results, simply based on the amount of people they have lifted out of poverty in the last two decades (Kishore Mahbubani's lectures are quite informative).
Back to US presidents/power structures: HW Bush was the son of Sen. Prescott Bush, and became president 8yrs after he left office. His other son Jeb was the 2016 establishment favorite and Florida governor. Al Gore was the son of Senator Albert Gore Sr. Mitt Romney was the son of George Romney (Michigan governor and 1968 presidential candidate). Dan Quayle's family owned the Indiana newspaper chain that helped make him. Hillary was Bill's wife before she was a senator, Secretary of State, and nominee. John McCain was the son and grandson of four-star admirals.
Biden and Obama were 2008 primary rivals, Biden became his VP. Harris went from attacking Biden over school busing and became his VP. Hillary Clinton had many racist attacks against Obama through 2008 and became his Secretary of State. John Kerry, who lost in 2004 then took the same job.
If this is a healthy democracy, then we definitely have different definitions of that word.
I never said it was healthy. I said it was a democracy, and I didn't even mention the benefits of it being a federalist republic. Just look at how much trouble Trump is having undermining elections. He had to resort to the absurd postal service scheme, which might still somehow work. Do you think that Xi Jinping would ever require such chicanery?

It's not a general argument, they made specific claims, but vague posted (and implying everyone else must be crazy) to the point that the conversation is derailed by a bunch of people trying to figure out what they meant.

I know that AI is moving fast, but Mimo 2.5 literally came out four months ago. I literally had to double-check after I read this because it felt like just yesterday.
Also, I'm not sure what the industry standard is right now, but my (self-built) harness automatically exits with an error code whenever it detects similar tool calls being sent or when semantic repetition in the reasoning traces reaches a certain threshold. It's pretty easy to set that kind of thing up.
The article is literally talking about swarm self-coordination, which is an emergent [1] property that preserves and compresses the state while running, otherwise it couldn't do what they claim it to do.
Why would anyone ever need ACP? I'm not trying to be an asshole. I just seriously don't understand the value proposition.

It's buggier for me than it has ever been before. I don't think that agentic coding always leads to such a buggy mess. I just don't think that the Anthropic front-end software team is very good at agentic coding.
It might be time for the Anthropic devs making 500k a year plus more than that in options to actually write code again? I can’t believe that humans in meat space are reviewing all that code. Maybe that’s why Claude code is feeling a bit bloated and the models are a bit lacking of late is too much of the bot is writing the bot.
